Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced NVQ 3 Qualified Painter & Decorator to join our team at Morgan Dodd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial properties within Manchester and West Yorkshire areas. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling as necessary to ensure a smooth finish.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tools and equipment.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within agreed deadlines.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator within construction or refurbishment settings.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, colour matching, and decorating styles.
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team on larger projects.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes.
