Villa Farm is looking for a part-time Café Cook to join our friendly team in our busy 48-seat café, based alongside our award-winning farm shop.
We are passionate about home-made food and supporting local producers, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients across our café menu and farm shop. We pride ourselves on serving delicious food alongside excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.
Our café is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00am–4:00pm, serving all-day breakfasts, soups, sandwiches, light lunches, afternoon teas and corporate buffets.
The Role
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, reliable, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a small, dedicated team. The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy café or kitchen environment and will take pride in preparing high-quality, home-made food to a consistently high standard.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the café kitchen
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Ensuring all Health & Safety, Environmental Health and HACCP procedures are followed
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Helping deliver a positive customer experience through high-quality food and presentation
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working in a busy café or high-volume kitchen
- Be passionate about home-made and locally sourced food
- Have a good eye for detail and take pride in their work
- Be organised and able to work well under pressure
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Be reliable, flexible and a strong team player
- Be friendly, enthusiastic and committed to high standards
Hours
Part-time role with the following working pattern:
- Monday: 12:00pm – 4:30pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Additional hours may be available to cover holidays and busy periods.
Pay: Dependent on experience
