Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team at The Aldridge Day Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 9 months to 5 years. You must have a level3 in Early Years (or higher)
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff supervision, mentoring, and training.
- Curriculum Development: Plan and implement a stimulating and age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of all children.
- Childcare and Education: Provide high-quality care and education, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of each child.
- Parent Partnership: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are followed, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Desirable:
- Level 5 qualification in Early Years or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- First Aid and Safeguarding training.
