Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Double Glazing Installer to join our installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining UPVC & aluminium windows and doors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, utilising a variety of construction skills. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely, independently and efficiently on-site.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare openings according to schematics and specifications
- Install double glazed windows and doors, ensuring proper fit and sealant application
- Remove old glazing units safely and dispose of waste materials responsibly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations accurately
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and client expectations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fenestration
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment relevant to glazing installation
- Knowledge of construction painting, plastering, plumbing, electrical systems, or masonry is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and work from schematics effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Relevant certifications or willingness to undertake health & safety training necessary for site work
Candidates must be physically fit, able to work at heights if required, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This position is paid and offers valuable experience within the construction industry.
Pay: £48,000.00 per year
