We are looking for a Chef/Cook to join our team and provide meals for up to 19 residents across a seven-day service.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and tea.
· Provide refreshments between meals.
· Take residents’ daily menu orders and communicate clearly with them.
· Keep the kitchen and work areas clean, safe and tidy.
· Manage stock rotation and support food ordering.
· Work closely with residents and the care team to ensure residents’ wishes and needs are communicated, respected and maintained at all times.
· Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs by encouraging healthy eating and fluid intake in line with their individual care requirements.
· Complete required paperwork and audits accurately and on time.
Working Pattern
This role covers a seven-day week.
Skills and Qualifications
· Mandatory training is essential and can be arranged.
· An enhanced DBS check is required and can be arranged.
· Good communication skills.
· At least one year experience working in the care sector.
· The ability to use own initiative.
· Flexibility to provide additional cover for sickness and/or annual leave.
