Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or similar childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to promoting child welfare.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming team at Bliss Childcare and Nursery School in Southfields.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop, and reach their full potential.
Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare & Development
- Deliver high standards of care that support children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Plan and provide engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support children's learning through play-based experiences and child-led activities.
- Monitor, observe, and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and learning journeys.
Key Person Responsibilities
- Act as a key person for a designated group of children.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
- Provide regular updates to parents and carers regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
- Support children's individual learning and development needs.
Safeguarding & Welfare
- Promote safeguarding and child welfare at all times.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure children's safety and wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.
- Support daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and nappy changing where required.
Teamwork & Nursery Support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
- Contribute positively to the nursery's culture and continuous improvement.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Childcare Qualification.
- Have previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Be passionate about early childhood education and development.
- Have a caring, positive, and enthusiastic approach.
- Be creative, energetic, and able to engage children through play and learning activities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be organised, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Information
- An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required prior to employment.
