Job Overview
We are a growing professional cleaning company working with councils, housing associations, schools, commercial buildings, letting agents, developers, landlords, and residential management companies.
We are looking for experienced cleaning contractors who can work independently and deliver high-standard sparkle cleans, deep cleans, commercial cleans, and end-of-tenancy/after-build cleans.
This role suits cleaners who are confident managing their own jobs and maintaining excellent standards without close supervision, across a varied mix of residential, commercial, and public-sector sites. Both self-employed and employed arrangements may be available depending on the contractor and the contract.
Responsibilities
- Complete sparkle cleans, deep cleans, commercial cleans, end-of-tenancy, and after-build cleans to a professional standard
- Work across a mix of council properties, housing association homes, schools, commercial buildings, and residential communal areas
- Attend jobs independently and manage time effectively on site
- Follow job specifications provided for each clean
- Ensure properties/sites are left inspection-ready
- Communicate clearly if issues arise during a job
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and reliability
- Complete right-to-work checks required for the role
Must Haves
- Right to work in the UK (right to work checks will be carried out)
- Own car and full driving licence — this role covers multiple sites across Kent & London, so you need to be able to drive between jobs
- Proven cleaning experience (sparkle, deep, commercial, or end-of-tenancy cleans preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- High attention to detail and pride in work
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Good level of English for understanding job instructions and communication
Nice to Haves (not essential, but preferred and reflected in pay)
- A valid DBS check — required for some council/school/housing association sites, but not needed for all work, so not essential to apply
- Own cleaning equipment (e.g. hoover, cleaning products) — a bonus if you have it, but not required to be considered
- Self-employed status — some roles will be self-employed, others may be offered as employed positions depending on the contract
What We Offer
- Regular cleaning work across council, housing association, school, and commercial contracts
- Flexible jobs to fit around your availability
- Competitive pay per job — higher rate for contractors with their own equipment and/or a valid DBS
- Ongoing opportunities as Clean Keys grows
