Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the organisation of the kitchen and ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety guidelines.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Participate in menu planning and suggest improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and meal presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
