About the Role
As a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of courses, supporting learners through both academic and pastoral guidance. You will act as a Programme Tutor, managing a caseload of students and contributing to their progress, achievement and overall experience. The role also involves working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to ensure the curriculum remains relevant, innovative and aligned to sector needs.
Essential Criteria

Level 3 qualification in a Motor Vehicle related subject

Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths and English

Teaching qualification at Level 5 (or willingness to work towards)

Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver high-quality teaching

Commitment to supporting student achievement, safeguarding, equality and diversity
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment within Motor Vehicle programmes

Act as a Programme Tutor, supporting and tracking student progress and achievement

Plan, prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment records

Monitor student attendance, behaviour and performance, taking appropriate action where required

Embed English, Maths and digital skills within teaching

Support curriculum development and maintain strong industry links

Contribute to student recruitment activities such as open days and events

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching, learning and assessment practices
-
Maintain accurate records, including e-registers and learner progress data
-
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and an inclusive learning environment.
