The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for a Kitchen Second to support our small team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Don’t worry – you don’t need to be a chef, and you definitely don’t need to know how to cook a curry. We’ll train you on the job.
You’ll be doing things like:
- Peeling potatoes, chopping onions, and prepping ingredients
- Plating up food with care and speed
- Helping our KP washing pots and keeping the kitchen clean
- Jumping in on general kitchen support
- Speaking to customers and helping out front-of-house when needed
- Following hygiene and safety standards
Who We’re Looking For
- Someone reliable, switched on, and quick to pick things up, good with their initiative
- A proactive person who doesn’t stand around waiting for instructions, if you like to potter around the house doing bits and bobs this might be perfect for you.
- A team player who’s happy to muck in wherever needed, gets on well with our already existing team.
- Friendly, respectful, and open to learning, someone who can pick things up quick.
Shifts & Flexibility
Our service hours are:
- Wednesday: 4pm – 10pm
- Thursday: 4pm – 10pm
- Friday: 4pm – 10pm
- Saturday: 11am – 10pm
- Sunday: 4pm – 10pm
We post a monthly rota and offer flexibility for holidays, school, or other commitments. You’ll work around 0-15 hours per week, and we always try to accommodate the right people.
