CARRIAGES, KILMACOLM is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and culinary arts, with a passion for meal preparation and food presentation. As a Senior CDP, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen while mentoring junior staff and ensuring the smooth operation of food service.

Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for various events and services.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Contribute to the creation of new recipes and dishes that align with our restaurant’s vision.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with an emphasis on high-quality meal preparation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- A culinary qualification or relevant training is desirable but not essential.
