About the Role
PPS Logistics is recruiting professional Class 2 Drivers on behalf of AMG Logistics, part of the Emerge Group.
Drivers will safely complete multi-drop collections and deliveries to customer sites. This role requires early starts, physical handling of goods and excellent customer service.
Important: All successful candidates must complete a UK DBS checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop collections from retail stores and deliver to commercial sites following scheduled routes and delivery plans
- Carry out DVSA-compliant vehicle checks before and after every shift. Report any defects or issues immediately
- Ensure all loads are secure and handled safely
- Complete PODs, delivery notes, and tachograph records accurately
- Provide professional, courteous service at every customer site
- Follow all road traffic laws, driver hours rules, and Working Time Directive regulations
- Communicate with the transport office regarding delays or route changes
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and presentable
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous multi-drop delivery and collection experience preferred
- Excellent geographical knowledge or ability to use navigation systems effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- A full DBS check will be required
Desirable
- · Experience delivering and collecting at retail, trade, industrial, or commercial sites.
- · Experience using tail lifts and pallet trucks.
