International Trade Manager / Export Lead

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Export Specialist with office management and administration skills to head up our Export and International Trade function. Strong leadership and man management experience, together with your excellent communication skills, will support you in overseeing the day-to-day operations in this busy varied role.
True Lens Services is an established and innovative SME based near Hinckley, Leicestershire. As a globally respected leader in the rehousing and servicing of vintage cine lenses for the film and television industry, you will be an integral part of the small hands-on business support team.
You will take responsibility for preparing all export paperwork in response to export requests, alongside proactively building relationships with customers and freight forwarders, whilst maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipment records and customs information to support on-time delivery.
Heading up the support function, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small team to optimise administrative processes and act as liaison between the functional areas of the business, including Sales, Servicing, Engineering Production, Product Development and Technical support. Previous experience in office administration and team supervision is essential.
Responsibilities – to include
· Manage the daily operations of the Export and International Trade function, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient processes
· Responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of a small support team
· Preparation of the export and import paperwork in response to requests
· Progressing customs clearance documentation and ensuring compliance
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipment records and customs information to support on-time delivery
· Liaising with customers and freight forwarders, keeping the business updated and informed of progress
· Answering customer queries, dealing with outstanding customer requests, sending customers order information
· Coordinating with departments across the business to support customer enquiries and technical support
· Packing lenses for shipment and preparing accompanying paperwork
· Answering the telephone as part of the team providing the first point of contact for customers within the company.
Person Specifications
· Strong understanding of export administration including paperwork, documentation, and processes. Professional qualification(s) an advantage
· Knowledge of customs procedures and commodity codes. Familiarity with shipping IPR process ideal
· Proven experience in office management or administration roles
· Experience of managing / supervising administration functions / teams
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple tasks
· Experienced in Microsoft Office including Excel, with working knowledge of CRM’s, Salesforce ideal
· Team player, able to work on own initiative
· Enthusiastic and punctual, with a flexible adaptable approach
· Willing to undertake additional training as required by the role
· Desire and enthusiasm to progress.
