Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming pets to ensure their health and well-being while creating a positive experience for both the animals and their owners. Ideally, we are looking for candidates to operate within South West or South East London (SW and SE postcodes)!
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, brushing, and nail trimming for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and aftercare.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in lifting larger or heavier pets as needed, ensuring their safety during the grooming process.
- Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best possible service to clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or grooming is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential for this role.
- Full UK Manual DVLA is required for this role.
