Design Manager – Joinery

We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager for a Bespoke Joinery business based in Co. Tyrone but with interests across the UK and Ireland. They have doubled capacity in recent years to allow for new product lines and innovation, and have seen headcount rise in line with this.
What you’ll be doing
- You’ll lead and develop a team of CAD designers and technicians
- Be responsible for setting the standard for quality and consistency across all projects.
- You will create designs from initial concept through to completion.
- Oversee the creation of detailed drawings
- Working closely with production teams, you’ll ensure designs are practical, efficient, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities. You’ll interpret architectural plans and client requirements, translating them into precise, compliant designs.
- You’ll also be the key link between stakeholders — collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and fire compliance bodies to resolve challenges, manage expectations, and keep projects on track.
What you will need to succeed:
- Excellent knowledge of joinery.
- Experience in joinery design at a senior level
- Strong CAD skills.
- Qualification in a relevant technical discipline
