We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to step into a key leadership position based in Kendal. As UKAC Workforce Manager, you will lead the Scheduling team, Training Department and Projects, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective coordination of labour across all TEAM activities in the UK and overseas. This role carries a high level of responsibility for workforce planning, training delivery, and operational excellence, supporting business growth and alignment with TEAM Core Values.

As Workforce Manager, you will manage the Scheduling team, Training Department and Projects to co-ordinate the labour for all TEAM activities in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The role carries a high level of responsibility for implementing and ensuring compliance with the company’s policies, procedures and standards whilst supporting the UK and overseas.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Drive the initiative to have a fully occupied and costed workforce.
- Ensure the training requirements of the Field Service Technicians are met in line with the training criteria.
- Plan and organise using TRMS (centralised labour scheduling service) to all regions.
- Ensure the TEAM TRMS system is fully utilised.
- Work with the Leadership Team to ensure a standard approach to technician scheduling is embedded throughout TEAM in keeping with our Core Values.
- To co-ordinate all TEAM’s resourcing requirements in an efficient and cost effective manner to TEAM’s values of Safety, Quality, On-time and Efficiency.
- To recruit, train & supervise the Scheduling team to meet departmental and company objectives, including maintaining morale, carrying out ADR’s & dealing with any grievance/disciplinary matters. To develop integrated succession plans for key jobs within the job holder’s area of responsibility.
- To communicate with Field Supervisors/Operations teams on a regular basis and ensure that their requirements are met in line with the Company aspirations for Training, Workforce and Projects.
- To ensure that all sharing of information and initiatives for best practice are shared with all relevant departments and a collaborative, open minded approach is taken with all other internal departments and stakeholders.
- To work closely with operations for a strategic lookahead in terms of planning for all outages and shutdowns to ensure a consistent all customer requirements are planned for
- To implement best practice operating procedures to ensure Scheduling, projects and operations teams work together in the most efficient manner, consistently striving for continuous improvement.
- To manage the recruitment and performance of a temporary workforce by ensuring sufficient and skilled temporary labour force is available and is used in a cost effective manner. Arrange additional temporary labour to meet business demand by adopting TEAM policy and procedure at all times.
- To work with the Training Manager and Operations Teams to support Technician Training and Progression through each service line
- To manage all technician site inductions, training, medicals and site security clearance and ensure they are maintained within TRMS.
- To identify any technician conduct that is not in line with company policy and deal with it accordingly.
- Organise and participate in call out rota to provide adequate out of hours cover to meet business needs.
- To have a commercial awareness of TEAM’s business to make informed decisions on resource issues and support projects.
- To develop and implement policies and procedures in line with the business needs.
- Work closely with the HSE Team to manage the Fatigue and Travel Management Policies
- To participate and manage information meetings, share occupancy figures, collating trends and developing long and short term solutions to the business needs.
- Focus all Workforce, Training and Field Service staff on delivering work in a safe manner by implementing and following the TEAM Core values.
- Actively promote the Core values and FCPA requirements within all work based activities.
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Outline knowledge of TEAM services.
- Knowledge of company’s policies, procedures and standards
- Knowledge of company’s QA policies, procedures and standards
- SL7/TRMS/ M Files and Microsoft office
- People management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deal with escalations and conflict
Working Conditions:
- Office based.
- Regular interface with Team customers particularly staff and technicians.
- Attend various Team training courses as required.
