Summary
We are seeking a confident individual to join Vuba as a Logistics Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for arranging delivery of goods with clients ensuring customers receive their orders in a timely fashion and within the ETA given to the customer. The role requires someone with excellent organisational skills and a methodical thinker.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls with customers, sub-contractors, depots and drivers.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, sub-contractors and depots with regards to traffic and delivery updates.
- You will be the key interface between customers ensuring a balanced approach is taken to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Maintain eCommerce systems, organise customer orders for dispatch from both sites.
- Capture and record the essential details of meetings.
- Process haulage claims for damages in transit.
- Arrange direct orders and obtain quotes for deliveries.
- Assist with the monthly reporting on logistics & production.
- Partake in general administrative duties for the wider company.
- Assist with other ad hoc duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to use own initiative and propose improvements.
- Proven ability to work in a high-volume fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to communicate with managers and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a wider team.
- An understanding of UK Road and transport networks.
- Background in Logistics and/or Operations is preferred.
