Job Title: Production Operator (Chemical Process + FLT)
Responsible for operating an automated chemical production plant, including process control (SCADA), material handling with forklift (FLT), and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate automated production systems (SCADA)
- Execute chemical manufacturing processes following SOPs
- Load/unload materials, tankers, and goods using FLT (forklift)
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards
- Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
- Communicate with internal teams and transport drivers
Work Schedule (Critical Requirement)
- Initial schedule: Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:00
- Future state: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights + weekends)
- Shift pattern:
- May – September: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off
- October – April: 2 days → 2 nights / 6 days off
- Must be flexible to work nights and weekends
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in manufacturing / chemical process environment
- Valid FLT (Forklift) License
- Experience with automated plant / SCADA systems
- Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Basic computer skills
- Numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Chemical processing experience
- NVQ Level 2 / C&Q in Process Operations
- IOSH or HSE certification

Pay: £10.00-£19.00 per hour
