Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded International Sales & Business Development Executive to join our sales team based in Epsom.
This role would suit an ambitious sales professional looking to develop a long-term career within an employee-owned business where success, responsibility and rewards grow together.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of international distributor and key customer accounts across Europe and other overseas markets. Existing markets currently include Scandinavia, Poland and other European territories.
The successful candidate will spend approximately 75% of their time developing existing distributor relationships and 25% identifying and converting new business opportunities.
This is a highly commercial role requiring excellent relationship-building skills, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
The role includes regular international travel throughout Europe and occasional long-haul travel to customer meetings and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage existing international distributors and key customer accounts, developing strong long-term relationships
- Identify, qualify and convert new distributor, retail and healthcare opportunities within existing and new international markets
- Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue, profitability and market penetration within key accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers across distributors, retailers, healthcare organisations and strategic partners
- Maintain high levels of sales activity to ensure sales targets are met and a healthy pipeline of opportunities is sustained
- Actively build professional networks through exhibitions, LinkedIn, industry events and trade associations to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Research international markets and identify opportunities for growth
- Prepare and deliver product presentations both online and face-to-face
- Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and international trade shows
- Sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Monthly account reviews and opportunity planning
- Margin and profitability analysis
- Accurately calculate sales pricing whilst maintaining agreed margin requirements
- Negotiate commercial agreements and terms of business
- Plan and implement market-specific sales initiatives and campaigns
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities, providing regular commercial insights to support business growth
- Manage export administration including quotations, orders, contracts and supporting export documentation
- Work closely with colleagues across sales, ecommerce, supply chain, customer service and regulatory affairs to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Provide general sales and customer support where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role
- A genuine interest in healthcare products and helping people improve their quality of life
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset
- Experience developing customer relationships and growing sales accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident presenter with the ability to represent the company professionally both online and face-to-face
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using CRM and prospecting tools (e.g. Cognism, Salesforce, HubSpot or similar) desirable
- Experience with SAP Business One would be advantageous
- Fluency in English is essential
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis
