Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cocktail Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional drinks and providing outstanding customer service in a lively bar environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mixology skills while ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, and a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving is essential. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple orders simultaneously, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Greet guests warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all drinks are prepared in adherence to food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout the shift
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated guests in accordance with licensing laws
- Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately
- Restock bar supplies as needed, monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, particularly within bars or restaurants, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with an emphasis on attentiveness and guest satisfaction
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management abilities to prioritise tasks during high-volume periods
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Personable demeanour with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse clientele
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes and mixology techniques is advantageous
