A secondary school in Coventry is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their team from September. This role is ideal for an educator who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire a love of learning, and help students develop a deeper understanding of the physical and human world.
You'll play a key role in supporting pupil achievement while bringing geographical concepts to life through creative and engaging teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum expectations
- Complete marking and assessment to support pupil progress
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor attainment and provide effective feedback
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute positively to the wider Humanities department and school community
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching Geography within a secondary setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan, prepare, and mark pupils' work effectively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passion for Geography and student achievement
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

- Experience delivering GCSE Geography
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- Excellent planning and marking skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
