Senior Project Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the CWA Wide Section.
What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the initiation and delivery of Strategy & Transformation projects in a fast-paced, evolving organization. You will evaluate incoming requests, define project scope and success criteria, oversee execution, and provide surge capacity support across the portfolio as needed.
Principal Accountabilities, Activities and Decisions
- Intake & Assessment: Evaluate incoming requests against strategic priorities and organisational capacity
- Scoping & Planning: Define project scope, timelines, resources, and success criteria with stakeholders
- Handover & Governance: When relevant, transition structured projects to dedicated Programme Managers with clear briefs and governance frameworks
- Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of unplanned or emerging initiatives that fall outside the approved roadmap
- Support & Scaling: Provide surge capacity and project management expertise to other PMs during peak demand periods, including design and facilitation of workshops with senior stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in programme management, project management, or a related role, preferably within a large and complex organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering strategic initiatives, particularly in implementing business maturity models or similar frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of programme and project and change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
