Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
National Logistics is recruiting a full-time HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. This is a Monday to Friday tramping role, covering regular routes across the UK.
The role offers weekly pay, regular working hours and the opportunity to work with a supportive and growing company.
Duties and responsibilities
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally across the UK.
- Carrying out general haulage and trailer movements.
- Loading, securing and unloading goods safely.
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers when required.
- Following road transport regulations and maintaining high driving standards.
- Completing delivery paperwork and daily vehicle checks.
- Reporting vehicle defects promptly.
- Keeping the vehicle cab clean and tidy.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A valid Class 1 C+E licence.
- An up-to-date Driver CPC.
- A Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- No DR10, DD, CD or TT driving codes.
- The ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred. Tramping experience is also preferred.
The successful candidate will be punctual, professional, customer-focused and able to meet deadlines.
Pay and hours
Pay is £15.50 to £18.00 per hour.
Expected hours are 55 to 60 hours per week.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday role.
