Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people who need a fresh start in education? We are seeking an inspiring and resilient English Teacher to join our Alternative Provision team, supporting Key Stage 4 learners who have been excluded from mainstream education settings.
We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Foundation Learning and Student Support Department as an English Teacher (Alternative Provision) on a fixed-term (until July 2027), part-time (17.5 hours per week - Monday all day, Wednesday morning only, Thursday all day) basis.
You will deliver engaging and creative AQA English Language lessons to Key Stage 4 learners, supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Working closely with pastoral staff and wider support teams, you will play a key role in helping learners overcome barriers to education, improve attendance and engagement, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Success in this role will require excellent communication skills, strong behaviour management, empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with small groups of students, helping them re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and achieve recognised qualifications in English Language.
