Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Casa Med is looking for a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen, protect our standards, and help us continue creating the tapas, atmosphere and experience our guests come back for again and again.
We’re an independent, family-run tapas restaurant with a strong local reputation, a passionate team, and 10 years of Casa Med behind us. We’re not a chain, and we don’t want to feel like one. We care about good food, good people, high standards, and creating a warm, memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
This role would suit an experienced Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef who is ready to step up. The right person matters more to us than the perfect CV.
The role:
As Head Chef / Kitchen Manager, you’ll take ownership of the kitchen and lead a small team of 3, including yourself.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading kitchen service with calmness, confidence and consistency
- Managing prep and making sure the kitchen is set up for success
- Maintaining high food standards and presentation
- Stock ordering and stock control
- Food safety, cleanliness and kitchen systems
- Mentoring and supporting the kitchen team
- Helping with rotas and kitchen organisation
- Bringing ideas and creative input into menu development
- Working closely with the owners to keep improving how we do things

You don’t need tapas experience, but you do need strong fresh-food experience and the ability to lead a busy kitchen with care, consistency and pride.
Hours:
This is a full-time role, approximately 37-45 hours per week.
You’ll work Tuesday to Saturday, including evenings.
The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays, giving you two consistent days off each week (excluding special occasion Sundays e.g Mother's Day, Father's Day, Bank Holidays)
