Simply Education is recruiting Pastoral Support Workers across our partner secondary schools in Staffordshire. We work with schools that take pastoral care seriously, and they need people who do too.

What the role involves:
- Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Building trusted relationships with pupils who find school challenging
- Working alongside teachers, HOYs and SLT to provide early intervention
- Running 1:1 and small group mentoring or support sessions
- Monitoring pupil wellbeing and raising concerns through the right channels
- Helping students re-engage with learning and school life
- Following safeguarding procedures at all times
What we need from you:
- Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, mentoring, social care or similar
- Calm, consistent and professional approach, especially in difficult situations
- Genuine commitment to supporting young people, not just managing behaviour
- Strong communication skills with students, staff and parents
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant qualifications are useful but the right experience and character matters most
