We are looking for a passionate Chef to join our team on a full time basis, covering 5 days per week and will included weekends. A great opportunity for somebody with some experience in a busy kitchen environment and is looking for the next step in their career.
Under a supportive, experienced Head Chef and alongside a kitchen team of 6, we aim to continue growing our food offering as we push and expand the business levels.
Following on from a succesful year where the pub was recognised as the best in Devon at the Devon tourism awards and picking up gold awards in both the Taste of the West and Devon Food and Drink awards, recognising the great work that the kichen team do producing tasty locally sourced food.
In addition to working in a fun and fast paced enviroment you will also receive, free food on shift, 50% off food or accomodation at either of our pubs and your equal share of tips which equates to an estimated extra £1.50 per hour.
The Castle Inn is a 16th Century pub with rooms in the beautiful village of Lydford in the Dartmoor National Park. We pride ourselves on serving fantastic food and drink with a strong emphasis on local produce and offering our locals and out of town guests genuine hospitality. We are a very busy pub with 13 bedrooms, a large restaurant, two bars, heated and lit tent and beautiful large beer garden. The pub is located within the Dartmoor National park with hiking, national cycling routes and National Trust and World Heritage sites on the doorstep.

Key requirements for the post
- Previous experience working in a kitchen for minimum 2 years
- Keen to learn new skills
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Approachable, with a friendly and professional manner
- High personal standards
- Your rostered hours will include peak shifts including weekends and bank holidays to ensure the smooth & efficient operation of food production.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
