We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Dance Instructor / Supervisor to run a weekly after-school Dance Club at a primary school near Corsham / Chippenham. This role gives children the opportunity to express themselves through movement, build confidence, improve coordination, and enjoy dance in a fun and supportive environment.
The club runs Thursdays, 3:45pm – 4:45pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in engaging, age-appropriate dance sessions.
- Plan and deliver fun routines and activities that develop rhythm, coordination, creativity, and teamwork.
- Encourage confidence, participation, and enjoyment through movement and performance.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children’s participation and progress.
- Ensure the activity space is safe, organised, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience teaching dance or leading movement-based activities for children in schools, clubs, or similar settings.
- Ability to motivate and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- A background in dance, performing arts, or teaching is desirable.
