Job Summary
The North Kessock Hotel seeks an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our team. As the busy season approaches, this individual will need to be flexible, competent and enthusiastic about joining a busy kitchen with a top culinary team.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Washing & Cleaning: Washing crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, ensuring they are ready for service.
- Hygiene & Safety: Deep cleaning of workstations, fridges, walls, and floors to meet health and safety standards.
- Food Prep Assistance: Basic tasks such as peeling, cutting, and washing vegetables.
- Deliveries & Storage: Assisting with unloading food deliveries, checking in goods, and organizing storerooms and freezers.
- Waste Management: Emptying, cleaning, and replacing bins, and disposing of cardboard and recycling.
- Support: Clearing plates from service drop areas, assisting chefs, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Key Requirements & Skills:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Efficiency: Working quickly to keep up with service demands.
- Initiative: Be able to identify what needs to be done and take the initiate to do it.
- Teamwork: Supporting chefs and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and asking questions to ensure you understand our processes and standards.
- Hygiene Awareness: Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
