Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef to lead our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise with a minimum of 2 years grill/burger restaurant chef experience. A passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of a QSR kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained at all times. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in team development, staff supervision, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient and a safe kitchen environment. Following brand standards and strictly adhering to company SOP's at all times. Reporting to company directors and also to Brand Owners and Area Management.
Duties
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, including supervising staff and fostering a collaborative working environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene within the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and optimise resource handling
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional growth
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist in serving guests when required, providing excellent hospitality experience
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation. Ideally from a QSR/Grill/Burger restaurant background
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques, specifically from a grill chef perspective
- Extensive experience in, food presentation, and quality control
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service through exceptional food quality
