Mental Health Support Worker!
Location: Wandsworth
Pay: £95 - £110 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Fixed-term with opportunities for permanent employment

The Supply Room is searching for Mental Health Support Workers to work within one of our client schools in Wandsworth, supporting pupils aged 5-16 years across an all-through setting, with opportunities to work within either their primary or secondary provision.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience or qualifications in Childcare, Education, Youth Work or Sports Coaching, as well as psychology graduates, semi-professional or former professional footballers, and sports coaches looking to transition into education.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs both inside and outside the classroom, helping them engage with learning, develop social skills and build confidence. Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams, you will help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
The role also involves supporting students who may display challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote emotional regulation and successful learning outcomes. Building strong relationships and acting as a positive role model will be central to your success in the position.
We are looking for:
- Previous experience or qualifications in Childcare, Education, Youth Work or Sports Coaching
- A genuine desire to work in education on a long-term basis
- Experience supporting young people with learning, behavioural or SEMH needs
- Excellent punctuality and reliability
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Candidates with notice periods of one week or less
Successful candidates will join on a fixed-term contract with opportunities to become permanent members of staff.
