A successful secondary school in Reading is seeking a motivated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team and support students in developing their confidence and ability in mathematics. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with young people, and helping students achieve their academic potential.
The Role
- As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students during Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group intervention sessions
- Help students prepare for assessments and examinations
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Encourage students to develop confidence in numeracy and problem-solving
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Maths or a closely related subject (2:2 or above)
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, and approachable attitude
- A genuine interest in education and student development
- Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
