About the Role
Hilites Group is looking for an experienced and reliable Self-Employed Plumber / Gas Engineer to support increasing demand across our property maintenance, refurbishment and void property projects.
This role is ideal for a skilled engineer looking for consistent work opportunities with the flexibility of self-employment, while also having the potential to transition into a permanent role as the company continues to grow.
Works will primarily cover residential properties, landlords, estate agents, housing providers and refurbishment projects throughout South London, Croydon and surrounding areas.
Typical Works Include
- Reactive plumbing repairs
- Bathroom installations and upgrades
- Leak investigations and repairs
- Pipework alterations and replacements
- Cylinder and heating system works
- Boiler servicing, breakdowns and installations
- Gas safety inspections and certification
- First and second fix plumbing works
- Plumbing support within refurbishment and void property projects
- Fault finding and diagnostic works
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven experience as a Plumber and Gas Engineer
- Valid Gas Safe Registration
- Relevant plumbing and gas qualifications
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs professionally
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Own tools and equipment
- Public Liability Insurance
- Reliability, professionalism and attention to detail
