Join us as an HR Advisor, providing hands-on support and working closely with the HR Business Partner to deliver consistent, practical people solutions. You'll handle day-to-day HR queries, support low-level employee relations cases, and be a visible, trusted first point of contact for line managers on site on a fixed term contract until September 2027.

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Manage routine employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, capability and informal grievances, escalating more complex matters where needed

Provide clear, practical guidance to line managers on policies, procedures and best practice

Support investigations, including note-taking and preparing outcome documentation

Prepare and issue HR documents such as invitations, outcomes, contractual changes and general correspondence

Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems to ensure data quality

Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities

Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on site, building strong working relationships

Provide day-to-day, accessible HR support and help foster a positive employee experience

Respond to line manager queries with consistent, practical advice aligned to company policy

Support and coach managers in applying people processes effectively

Support key HR processes including absence tracking, probation reviews and performance cycles, ensuring consistency and compliance

Work closely with the HR Business Partner, supporting case preparation, reporting, HR initiatives and site-level change activities
About you:

Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role

Hands-on experience managing a range of employee relations cases

Background in manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced operational environment (desirable)

Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail

Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships at all levels

Practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving

Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Comfortable working with data, with good numeracy and IT skills

CIPD Level 3 as a minimum
