Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients' well-being, fostering independence, and promoting positive development. Duties
- Offer personalised support to clients, including assistance with daily activities
- Engage in mentoring activities to promote confidence and social skills
- Work collaboratively with families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- support with shopping, befriending, companionship, light housework & gardening
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Encourage independence by teaching life skills and promoting self-reliance
- Support clients during outings or appointments, ensuring their safety at all times
Skills
- Proven experience or interest in working with adults or vulnerable individuals
- Strong mentoring abilities with a caring and empathetic approach
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to teach new skills in a clear and encouraging manner
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards supporting others
- Flexibility to adapt to different situations and individual needs
