Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes with attention to detail and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and procedures
- Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes
- Oversee food safety practices in compliance with health regulations
- Lead team management activities, including training, mentoring, and performance monitoring
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain organised workstations and ensure cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Assist in menu planning and development of new Italian culinary offerings
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment specialising in Italian cuisine
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of food production processes and restaurant operations
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Hospitality experience with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Leadership qualities to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
- Experience in serving guests or front-of-house duties is advantageous but not essential
