Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Shift Care Assistant to join our team at Birkinshaw Manor in Bedlington. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents during the night hours, supporting our mission to provide exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and respectful care to residents during the night shift.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily routines.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Follow care plans accurately to meet individual needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and family members.
- Support residents’ emotional needs through compassionate interaction.
- Document observations and care activities thoroughly.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently during night hours.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
- Valid driving license is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures is highly desirable.
