Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 12 months

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrician to support the delivery of electrical installation projects across a large and varied industrial site. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects within a dynamic environment, carrying out installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance, and repair activities in line with current legislation and industry standards.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in electrical installation work, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to agreed timescales while supporting and supervising team members where required.

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the installation phase of projects, ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed and work is delivered in line with plans and project schedules.
- Lead installation activities and provide direction to installation teams where required.
- Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in compliance with current regulations and local standards.
- Undertake the construction, wiring, and commissioning of electrical control cubicles.
- Carry out testing, commissioning, and fault-finding activities on electrical control and distribution equipment.
- Allocate work and provide guidance, supervision, and support to less experienced electricians and apprentices.
- Work collaboratively across a range of projects and teams, prioritising tasks and ensuring resources are effectively assigned.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and ensure compliance with site procedures and safe working practices at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Completed Electrical Craft Apprenticeship.
- City & Guilds 2357 (including AM2) or equivalent qualification, updated to BS 7671: 18th Edition.
- City & Guilds 2395 (Inspection and Testing) or equivalent.
- Demonstrable ability to work safely in accordance with written Safe Systems of Work.
- Previous experience working within an industrial and/or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of large electrical distribution networks would be advantageous.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Strong teamworking and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities and practical approach to challenges.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and organise workload effectively.
