The Role
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our friendly and professional team. This is a part-time role, ideal for qualified teachers looking for consistent weekend work.
Working hours:
- Monday: 5.30-6.30pm
- Wednesday: 6-7pm
- Friday: 5.30-7pm
- Saturday: 8:00am - 11.30am
- Sunday: 8.00am – 9.30am
- Up to 8.5 hours per week
Start date: 8th September 2026
Commitment: Must be able to commit for the full term
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Swimming Instruction
- Deliver engaging, safe and effective swimming lessons
- Teach swimmers of varying ages and abilities
- Follow the swim school’s structured programme and lesson plans
- Adapt teaching style to meet individual swimmer needs
Safety and Supervision
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers at all times
- Maintain high standards of poolside supervision
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety procedures
Communication and Professionalism
- Communicate clearly and positively with swimmers and parents
- Work collaboratively with fellow instructors and management
- Represent the swim school in a professional and friendly manner
General Duties
- Prepare equipment and teaching areas before lessons
- Provide feedback on swimmer progress when required
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for all sessions
Requirements
Essential:
- Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming or
- STA Award (prepared to complete upskill) or Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- Passion for teaching swimming and working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and professional attitude
Desirable:
- Experience teaching a range of ages and abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum swimming

Additional Information
