Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
Location: Basingstoke / Hook, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum DOE
OTE: £55,000+ with overtime available
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 9:00am – 2:00pm

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent automotive workshop based in the Basingstoke / Hook area.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician looking for a quality-focused workshop role with a strong basic salary, premium brand work, training and no time-save bonus pressure.
You will be responsible for carrying out accurate diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard within a professional, close-knit workshop environment.
The Role:
- Carry out vehicle diagnostics, fault-finding and repair work
- Complete servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Work on premium brand vehicles using suitable diagnostic equipment
- Carry out tyre removal and fitment when required
- Support MOT testing duties where applicable
- Maintain a professional approach with customers, colleagues and vehicles at all times
- Ensure all work is completed with care, accuracy and pride
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair experience
- Experience working in a high-quality independent or main dealer workshop
- Experience with premium automotive brands would be highly beneficial
- MOT Testing Licence preferred, but not essential
- Ideally 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, with 10+ years highly desirable
- Professional, reliable and committed to completing work properly
- Able to work independently and as part of a small workshop team
