We have an exciting opportunity to join the Front of House team at Kingsknowes Hotel as a full-time Duty Manager.
This is a hands-on role that would suit an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused individual with previous hospitality experience. As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service while supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the hotel.
- Cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
- Supervising the bar and restaurant operation.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the hotel during your shift.
- Assisting with hotel reservations and guest enquiries.
- Operating our Property Management System (PMS) and managing bookings across online travel agents (OTAs).
- Carrying out general office and administrative duties.
- Leading, motivating and supporting the Front of House team to deliver excellent customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment is essential.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is desirable.
- Administration or back-of-house experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Hours
Approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
