Our client, a well-established and busy garage, is looking to recruit a highly skilled Senior Diagnostic Technician to join their professional team. Benefits:
- Up to £40,000 basic salary, negotiable based on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate, including weekends

- Stable Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Duties of the Senior Diagnostic Technician:
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults across a wide range of vehicles
- Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs to high standards
- Specialise in AC/HVAC cooling systems and electric vehicle (EV) technology
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out necessary repairs
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical support where needed as a Senior Diagnostic Technician
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within allocated timeframes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding expertise
- Experience within either a main dealer or independent garage environment
- Familiarity with EV systems and AC/HVAC will be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
