To lead and deliver a high-quality, specialist Complex Home Care Service that supports, stabilises, and enhances the wellbeing of individuals with advanced and long-term health needs within the community.
Operate as a senior point of contact on shift—driving best practice, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring care delivery aligns with clinical requirements, safeguarding frameworks, and regulatory standards.
Enable service users to maximise independence, maintain dignity, and achieve optimal quality of life while respecting their individual rights, preferences, and cultural identity.

REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLEX CARE (PERMANENT STAFF ONLY)
- MUST hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
- MUST NOT require visa sponsorship
- Proven experience in complex care environments (e.g., tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, ventilator support, spinal injuries, neurological conditions)
- Demonstrated leadership capability within care teams (senior or lead role experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding protocols, and risk management
- High reliability, professional integrity, and excellent time management
- Ability to lead by example, delegate effectively, and ensure compliance with care plans and clinical protocols
- Competent in documentation, reporting, and escalation procedures
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical & Care Delivery Leadership
- Deliver and oversee complex care interventions in line with individual care plans and clinical guidelines
- Support advanced care needs including (but not limited to): medication administration, mobility support, nutrition management, and specialist equipment use
- Ensure all care delivery meets CQC standards and internal governance frameworks
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as senior staff on shift—guiding, supporting, and supervising care assistants
- Conduct on-the-job coaching and ensure adherence to best practice standards
- Lead handovers and ensure continuity and consistency of care delivery
Service User-Centred Care
- Provide holistic care that supports physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
- Promote independence and community integration through structured support
- Ensure care is culturally sensitive and tailored to individual needs
Monitoring, Reporting & Escalation
- Proactively monitor service users’ health and behavioural changes
- Accurately document and escalate concerns to management and relevant professionals
- Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to optimise care outcomes
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with confidentiality and data protection policies
- Ensure strict adherence to medication protocols, infection control, and safeguarding procedures
- Stay current with legislative updates and evolving CQC requirements
Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Take accountability for maintaining a safe care environment
- Identify and mitigate risks promptly
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
Engagement & Quality of Life
- Actively support service users in meaningful activities
- Build rapport and trust to enhance emotional wellbeing
- Advocate for service users’ preferences and choices at all times
