Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across one allocated premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in diverse settings, including commercial, hospitality, and residential environments, with a focus on delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas regularly.
- Handle specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with client requirements, including window cleaning and surface polishing.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Respond promptly to specific cleaning requests from clients or management.
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial work, commercial cleaning, or hotel housekeeping is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or guests when required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to organisational standards.
- Basic cooking skills are considered a plus for roles involving hospitality environments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if necessary.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.
