What's the job?
You'll take ownership of current accounts and new business across the Midlands and the South of England.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Managing and developing relationships with existing grower customers
- Identifying and opening new accounts across your region
- Visiting customers and advising customers on substrate solutions and growing performance
- Negotiating pricing, margins, and commercial agreements
- Building long-term, trusted relationships with growers
- Managing your pipeline and ensuring strong follow-through
- Feeding market insights and opportunities back into the business
- Working closely with colleagues across a remote team
You'll inherit a solid customer base, but there is an expectation to drive growth and expand the customer portfolio.
What do I need?
- Experience working with growers — either in production or sales. You could currently be a grower looking for something new, working in a similar role, or supplying growers with a different product
- A background that combines horticulture knowledge and commercial awareness
- A proactive mindset and confident ability to build relationships
- Ability to manage your own time and territory independently
- Full UK driving licence
