The Role
As a Drama Teacher within this thriving department, you will be responsible for delivering an academically rigorous and practically engaging curriculum that fosters artistic expression, confidence, and critical analysis.
- Teach Drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
- Deliver lessons that balance practical performance skills, technical theatre understanding, and textual analysis of diverse dramatic works.
- Direct and contribute to the school's extensive co-curricular performance calendar, including major production works, house plays, and regional festivals.
- Guide and mentor students through public examination performance showcases and portfolio development.

Experience & Qualifications
- A formal teaching qualification with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized independent school teaching experience (e.g., PGCE, BEd).
- A relevant undergraduate degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong subject knowledge across classical and contemporary practitioners, physical theatre, and text interpretation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and directorial skills, with a commitment to maintaining safe and inspiring workshop spaces.
- A valid, legal right to work within the United Kingdom.
