Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Owner Van Driver to oversee and manage the transportation of goods and materials. The successful candidate will operate their own vehicle, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong work ethic to take ownership of their routes and contribute to the efficient operation of our logistics team.
Duties / Requirements for 2 vacancies.
- Operate your own van to deliver goods across designated routes efficiently and safely and directly. Hire and Reward insurance requirements also goods in transit insurance up to £40k. for the owner driver role. self employed position.
- And for the second role if you don’t have a van one can be provided as long as you have a clean licence over 25 years old. This would be paid hourly £12.71 minimum 10hrs Monday-Friday. No criminal offences in the UK and must be a British citizen with right to work.
- Plan delivery schedules in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.
- All work will be on a app this must be used at all times with tracking on.
- Payments will be made every 2 weeks.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, commercial driving regulations, and health & safety procedures during operations.
- Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including stock organisation and inventory management.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through professional communication and reliable service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience or similar roles.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record. 0 points.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional service standards.
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safety protocols is essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, possess strong driving skills, and are eager to operate independently while contributing positively to our business operations.
