Job Title: Domestic Gas Trainer
Location: Stockport, UK
Salary: £41,000 per annum
Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Trainer to join our amazing team at Leep Trade, part of Leep Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation based in Stockport.
The Domestic Gas Trainer supports learners in acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for their trade by delivering practical, high-quality training across apprenticeships, bootcamps, and commercial programmes. The role works with learners, employers, and colleagues as a coach and mentor, offering clear guidance and constructive feedback.
The trainer is responsible for carefully planning, preparing, and delivering well-structured sessions that are engaging, tailored to individual needs, and compliant with awarding body and funding requirements. This includes adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles, setting clear objectives, and ensuring each session aligns with industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training across trade programmes including apprenticeships, bootcamps, and commercial courses, planning, and delivering engaging, practical, and inclusive learning sessions aligned with industry standards.
- Use a variety of assessment methods, including observation, practical demonstrations, professional discussions, and portfolio reviews, providing clear, constructive, and timely feedback to support learner progress and improvement, including regarding EPA
- Act as a coach and mentor, motivating learners to take ownership of their personal and professional development, providing guidance and support to help learners overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Maintain robust evidence of teaching, learning, and assessment to demonstrate Ofsted readiness, ensuring compliance with awarding body, funding, and organisational requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience delivering high quality training across apprenticeships, bootcamps, or commercial trade programmes, including planning and delivering inclusive and engaging sessions.
- Experience carrying out assessment using a range of methods, providing clear and timely feedback, and monitoring learner progress effectively
- A recognised trade qualification at Level 3 or above relevant to the area of delivery, as well as ACS qualifications.
- A teaching/training qualification and assessing qualification, or willingness to work towards, as well as L2 English & Maths.
