Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Truck Catering Assistant. This role involves preparing and serving food at various outdoor events, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong organisational skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in catering operations while delivering memorable culinary experiences to our clients.
This would suit someone who is looking for occasional or season work. To supplement our existing team on a ad hoc basis.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at outdoor events and catering locations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food truck, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to meet event schedules and customer expectations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or catering is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with customers
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods

Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
