Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDP Chef to join our culinary team, working five days per week. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment. The position does not include live-in accommodation, and applicants must have their own transport to commute to the premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, experience in food preparation, and a commitment to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Organise ingredients and kitchen tools efficiently to optimise workflow
- Support the team in plating and presentation of meals to meet visual standards
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper storage of ingredients and waste disposal
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation for large groups or institutional settings is advantageous
- Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is a plus but not essential
